Retreat to Main Creek and Australian country hospitality with Marion and David Stuart, the friendly hosts at Bower Retreat, the Homestead and Uncle Bert's Hut.

Marion writes:

"My husband David and I are your hosts at Main Creek. We have three grown up children and three very small and adorable grand children.

I love living on our property at Main Creek and think we are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful spot surrounded by forests and creeks. I love to share our piece of paradise with our friends and guests. One of my greatest pleasures is to see our guests' children enjoying the animals, running wild, getting dirty and just experiencing the freedom here.

David works in Dungog at Turner Holden. I had been working for several years at Dungog High as an aid in the unit for special needs children, but left that at the end of 2004. Now I am able to spend more time working on the property here, and of course with my grand children who live nearby at Clarence Town. I also teach swimming, am an Austswim accredited coach and enjoy teaching children to love the water and be safe in it.

On our property we like to go bush walking and David is a keen bird watcher. I am having a fabulous time with my new digital camera taking photos of all the wonderful subjects available to photographers here. I like to read and in another life had time for crafts and restoring furniture.

We love meeting new friends who come to stay with us and seeing our old friends who return to visit!"
